The Boston Celtics have confirmed that Jared Sullinger will be suspended for one game following his recent court case.
Sullinger was arrested on domestic violence charges following an incident with his girlfriend, Deann Smith, in September but the case was dropped on Monday because she refused to testify against the 21-year-old.
"Jared's case was dismissed yesterday in Waltham District Court," said Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge.
"While we are satisfied that this was the correct ruling, we are suspending Jared for one game because he failed to meet the high expectations we have for all Celtics employees."
Sullinger will miss the game against the Toronto Raptors tomorrow evening.
