Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari has insisted that he has no regrets about rejecting the chance to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Reports last year suggested that Calipari had been offered a 10-year deal to become head coach and president in Cleveland, but he turned down the opportunity to sign a new contract with Kentucky.
Despite watching LeBron James return to the Cavaliers to lead their charge to the NBA Finals, the Wildcats coach claims that he is happy to still be working in the college game.
When asked whether he has had second thoughts about the decision, Calipari told Yahoo Sports: "No, nope. Because what happened, and the reason I did what I did, was based on having guys come back who wanted to be coached. I didn't feel comfortable not being at Kentucky.
"I'll be watching. But regrets? No. None. I'm a guy that's usually looking through the front window."
Kentucky remained unbeaten throughout the season until eventually losing to Wisconsin in the Final Four.
