Tristan Thompson reportedly rejected an offer from the Cleveland Cavaliers because he believed that he could earn more.
Thompson and the Cavs had reached an agreement early in free agency, but several other players around the league in the same range as him received substantially more, according to Basketball Insiders.
As a result, the 24-year-old held out and wanted more but the two parties have yet to reach an agreement over a new deal.
Thompson could take a qualifying offer and leave next summer, but it is reported that the Cavs are still working on offering him a new long-term deal in the meantime.
