The alleged girlfriend of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is reportedly "saddened" by the NBA's decision to ban the businessman for life following racist comments.
V Stiviano is at the centre of the racism scandal after TMZ released a conversation between herself and Donald, who told her not to bring black people to games at the Staples Center.
The comments, which are said to have been made during a heated argument, supposedly came after Stiviano was pictured alongside basketball legend Magic Johnson.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced yesterday that the 80-year-old businessman has been fined and banned from the association for life.
Stiviano's lawyer Siamak Nehoray told the Los Angeles Times that Stiviano "never wanted any harm to Donald" and that she is "devastated" that the conversation was made public.
Nehoray also told the publication that Stiviano was not involved in the release of the recording.
