David Haye: 'I'll knock out Tony Bellew with one jab'

David Haye claims that taking on Tony Bellew will be an "easy night's work" due to his rival's "leaky defence".

David Haye has warned WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew that he will beat him with just one punch should their mooted fight materialise.

Bellew defeated BJ Flores in Liverpool on Saturday night with a third-round knockout to retain his belt, before quickly turning attention to ringside pundit Haye.

Former WBA heavyweight champion Haye, who returned to the ring earlier this year following nearly five years away from the sport, insisted that he can capitalise on his opponent's "leaky defence" if they were to face off.

"Bellew has dynamite in his fists but would that work on me? I don't think so," he told Sky Sports News. "He was taking a few big shots in the process, his defence was leaky. Against me, that'd take one shot.

"I've been a heavyweight for eight or nine years. If he wants to come up, it's an easy night's work. I'll probably knock him out with a jab."

Haye, previously tipped to face fellow Brit Anthony Joshua at some point this year, is next scheduled to fight on December 10.
