Amir Khan: Haye-Chisora will not overshadow my title fight

Amir Khan says that David Haye will walk through Dereck Chisora, but believes that his fight with Danny Garcia will be a bigger box office draw.

Amir Khan has said that his fight with Danny Garcia will not be overshadowed by the bout between David Haye and Dereck Chisora.

The two fights will take place on either side of the Atlantic Ocean on July 14, but the Bolton fighter believes there is more interest in his clash for the WBC light-welterweight title.

"I don't think it will take any limelight away from my fight," the Daily Star quotes Khan as saying. "There's more interest in the States in my fight than Haye-Chisora definitely, 100 percent.

"Mine is a world title fight against an unbeaten fighter while the other one isn't and will be totally one-sided."

Khan said that Haye will emerge triumphant at Upton Park and has urged the former WBA heavyweight champion to shut him up.

"David is going to easily win and just walk straight through Chisora," he added. "I think he's doing it just to shut him up – and Chisora needs shutting up and throwing out."

Khan was due to fight a rematch with Lamont Peterson last month, only for the bout to be cancelled after the American tested positive for synthetic testosterone.
