Jamie McDonnell has retained his European bantamweight title with a second-round stoppage against Ivan Pozo.
The 25-year-old was rarely troubled by his challenger as he kept him at bay with a number of jabs in the first.
Pozo was unable to beat the count in the second when he was floored with a shot to the ribs.
"I am stepping it up now," McDonnell told Sky Sports News. "I came out to look good. I was taking my time and found a sweet one underneath. I thought I caught it bang on. He did not get up and it's all good.
"He was European champion and fought for world titles and I got rid of him."
McDonnell is now hoping for a world title shot.
