Wembley Stadium will host the rematch between British super-middleweight rivals Carl Froch and George Groves on May 31.
The bout will be the first boxing match to be staged at the London venue since it reopened in 2007.
Wembley appeared to be out of the running due to the fact that England play Peru in a friendly at the stadium the evening before.
The City Ground, The Etihad Stadium and Old Trafford had all been touted as potential venues for the fight.
The IBF ordered a rematch to take place after Froch retained his WBA and IBF super-middleweight titles with a controversial ninth-round stoppage of Groves in November.
