Germany have seen off their opponents to win gold in the final of the women's kayak double 500m.
The German duo took a strong start out of the blocks and were quickly caught up by Poland and Hungary, who have won gold in three consecutive tournaments.
The three competitors were at equal length leading up to the 250m point until Germany found a little extra push to take a two to three-metre advantage ahead of their rivals.
Despite a late push from China, Germany comfortably won the elusive medal, with Hungary securing silver and Poland holding on to clinch bronze.
