Team GB's Tim Brabants has qualified for the final of the men's kayak single 1000m.
The Olympic champion has struggled with illness and injury, but he produced a courageous performance to edge into the final.
Brabants was in fourth place when the race reached the halfway mark, but he was beginning to fade as his Olympic reign looked to be coming to an end.
He slipped down to fifth but he was resurgent in the final 200m and stormed back to finish in fourth place and qualify for the final.
