Australia take five wickets in the morning session of day four against the West Indies to leave them on the brink of victory in the second Test.

Australia are closing in on victory on day four of the second Test against the West Indies after reducing the home side to 72-7 at lunch.

Denesh Ramdin's men started the day on 10-2 with Darren Bravo and Shane Dowrich at the crease, but Dowich added just three runs to his overnight score before he was bowled by Mitchell Starc.

Bravo was the next to depart for just 11 when he was caught by Shaun Marsh off the bowling of Josh Hazlewood, while Jermaine Blackwood was out for a duck to the same bowler, to leave the Windies reeling at 33-5.

Ramdin and Shai Hope offered resistance for the home side as they guided their side past the 50-run mark, but Mitchell Johnson snagged the wicket of Hope for 16.

Shane Watson then put his side on the brink of victory as he had Jason Holder caught by Starc for just one, leaving the Baggy Greens needing just three wickets to clinch a series win.
