England piled more misery on India during day three of the fourth Test at the Oval.

The hosts began the day on 457-3 with Ian Bell and Jimmy Anderson at the crease.

Anderson hit two fours on his way to being caught by Laxman off the bowling of Sreesanth for 13. The same bowler disposed of Eoin Morgan [1] soon after when he was caught behind by MS Dhoni.

Meanwhile, Bell continued his dominant form with the bat and posted a Test-best 235 before being bowled lbw by Suresh Raina.

Ravi Bopara made an encouraging 44, while Matt Prior hit 18 before captain Andrew Strauss declared on 591-6.

Where India's bowling attacked proved largely toothless, their batsmen fared even worse.

Virender Sehwag, who had two previous golden ducks, made eight before being bowled lbw by Anderson with the last ball of the first over.

The wickets tumbled quickly as Laxman was caught behind for two off the bowling of Stuart Broad, while Tendulkar [23], Raina [0] and Sharma [1] all fell to a rejuvenated Graeme Swann.

The only bright point for the tourists was the dogged batting of Rahul Dravid [57], arguably their best player at the crease this series, as India resume tomorrow on 103-5.
