Limited-overs coach Ashley Giles warns his England players that they must improve quickly if they are to avoid India 'walking all over them' in the Airtel Series.

Limited-overs coach Ashley Giles has warned his England players that they must improve quickly if they are to avoid being 'walked all over' by India.

Since their shock ODI victory in Rajkot earlier this month, England have suffered two resounding defeats, posting meagre totals of 158 and 155 in the process.

Giles knows that the tourists must do much better with the bat in the remaining two matches of the Airtel Series in order to stand a chance of gaining a respectable result.

"The guys all felt pretty low last night because we got a good hiding at the hands of the Indians," said Giles. "It's a concern because it has happened twice in a row now.

"Ultimately we're not going to win too many games of cricket with 150, that's pretty plain. It can affect confidence, definitely.

"You feel knocked and everyone in the dressing room is disappointed, but we have to bounce back. There's no point in moping or dragging yourself around for a couple of days.

"The next game is on Wednesday and the one thing we have to be is up for it. If we take a backwards step now the Indians will walk all over us. It's important we are up for the fight."

England will be without Stuart Broad for the remainder of their Indian tour, after the Nottinghamshire bowler's flight plans were disrupted by snow.
