England are bowled out for 227 in their third one-day international against India at Trent Bridge.

England have set India a target of 228 for victory in their third one-day international, despite making a bright start to their innings at Trent Bridge this morning.

After India won the toss and put England in to bat, Alex Hales (42) and Alastair Cook (44) helped the home side to a strong position, adding 82 runs for the opening wicket.

However, both openers and Joe Root (2) all fell for a total of just 15 runs as England continued to struggle against India's spinners.

Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes were also dismissed cheaply, while Ian Bell (28) was run out by a direct hit from Mohit Sharma while pushing for two runs off a cover drive.

James Tredwell provided some late runs for the hosts, hitting a six in the final over of the innings, but went for one big shot too many off the penultimate delivery to be caught for 30 off 18 balls, which is his new career best in an ODI.

A mix-up between James Anderson and Steven Finn off the final delivery saw the latter run out, leaving England all out for 227.

Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the India bowlers, finishing with 3-39.
