The Delhi Daredevils' losing streak at the Feroz Shah Kotla has been extended to nine games with a six-wicket defeat to the Kolkata Knight Riders in this evening's Indian Premier League match.
Kolkata won the toss and chose to field, a decision that proved to be the right one as they restricted Delhi to just 146-8 from their 20 overs.
Mayank Agarwal and JP Duminy lost their wickets in the opening five overs and despite solid knocks Shreyas Iyer (31) and Manoj Tiwary (32), none of the Daredevils really hit their stride.
Delhi's hopes of winning their third game in a row improved when Dominic Muthuswami took the wickets of both Robin Uthappa (13) and Manish Pandey (0) in the fifth over, but Gautam Gambhir (60) and Yusuf Pathan (40*) starred to help the Knight Riders over the line.
Ryan ten Doeschate hit the winning runs as Kolkata finished on 147-4 with 11 balls to spare, improving to three wins out of four games.
