Australian track cyclist Matthew Glaetzer has broken the Commonwealth Games record during qualifying for the men's sprint in the velodrome.
The 21-year-old was the fastest in the 28-man field with a time of 9.779 seconds, beating New Zealanders Edward Dawkins and Sam Webster.
England's Philip Hindes, Jason Kenny and Matthew Crampton were among the 12 cyclists to progress to the final.
The final will take place tomorrow.
