Great Britain's Paralympic cyclist Jon-Allan Butterworth has been forced to retire from the men's C4-5 road race at Brands Hatch.
The former member of the RAF, who lost his left arm during an explosion, suffered an injury after getting hit by a British tandem during training earlier this week, which left the Paralympic hopeful with a bandaged right arm and graze on his knee.
Butterworth has been forced to drop out after failing to overcome his injuries, which resulted in a 12th-place finish in the men's C5 individual time trial yesterday.
The Brit finishes the London Games with one gold and one silver medal, which he picked up in the velodrome last week.
