Scottish champions Celtic begin their Champions League Group H campaign with a trip to the San Siro to face AC Milan on Wednesday evening.
Milan made it to the knockout round of the competition last season before losing to Barcelona, while Celtic were also eliminated at the same stage to the Rossoneri's domestic rivals Juventus.
The last time the two sides met in the group stage of the competition was in 2007 when Celtic were 2-1 winners in Scotland, but they have lost on their last three visits to the San Siro, the most recent ending in a 1-0 defeat in 2008.
Milan have wobbled in their opening three matches of their Serie A campaign, with four points leaving them in ninth position. That is in contrast to Celtic, who have won four and drawn one of their five Scottish Premiership fixtures thus far.
Milan will be without the services of Stephan El Shaarawy, Riccardo Montolivo and Kaka for the European clash with all three struggling with thigh problems, while Andrea Poli is also a doubt.
Ignazio Abate, Mattia De Sciglio, Matias Silvestre, Daniele Bonera and Giampaolo Pazzini are all certain to miss out, but Antonio Nocerino and Alessandro Matri are pushing for recalls to the starting lineup.
Celtic, meanwhile, will be without the services of summer signing Steven Mouyokolo, who has been ruled out of action for six months with an Achilles injury. Adam Matthews is also a doubt, but Anthony Stokes and Georgios Samaras will be fit to lead their line.
