A Carlos Bacca penalty has given AC Milan a 1-0 lead over 10-man Sassuolo at the halfway stage of their Serie A match at San Siro this afternoon.
The Rossoneri started with 16-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal and the keeper was forced into an early save to deny Karim Laribi's effort.
Milan were next to threaten, as Giacomo Bonaventura fired a strike from range inches wide of the far post.
As the game edged towards the half-hour mark, Sassuolo were reduced to 10 men when Andrea Consigli rushed off his line and brought down Bacca.
The keeper was shown a straight red card and gave away a penalty in the process, which was duly converted by Bacca.
