Fiorentina have taken a 1-0 half-time lead in their Serie A clash against AC Milan at the San Siro.
The Rossoneri had the first chance of the match as early as the seventh minute when Sulley Muntari's attempt from outside the box went wide.
The midfielder tried his luck with another long-range effort but in vain, before Cristian Zapata headed Kaka's corner high over the Fiorentina crossbar.
Mario Balotelli and Muntari came close to breaking the deadlock for hosts Milan in quick succession, but it was the visiting Viola who took the lead in the 27th minute through a Juan Vargas free kick.
Balotelli had a late penalty appeal turned down as Milan head into the break on the back foot.
