AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy believes that he has profited from Zlatan Ibrahimovic's exit from the club.
The Swedish international moved to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window and El Shaarawy admits that his time at Milan has improved because of Ibrahimovic's transfer.
"I think that Ibra leaving has been to my benefit," said El Shaarawy. "I [now] have more space to play and to show my worth.
"But the team is made of other players who are champions. We don't think about players who have left, we think of ourselves."
El Shaarawy's goal ended a winless run of three games for Milan as they overcame Genoa 1-0 on Saturday.
