A report claims that Valencia defender Adil Rami will begin training with AC Milan this week.

Valencia defender Adil Rami is expected to begin training with Italian outfit AC Milan this week.

The 27-year-old has not played for his La Liga club since criticising his teammates and head coach Miroslav Djukic in a radio interview last month.

He underwent a medical with Milan over the weekend after the two clubs agreed for the Frenchman to move to Italy in the January transfer window.

However, according to Football Italia, the centre-back will join up with his new teammates this week after being banished from Valencia's training ground.

A permanent transfer is expected to go through next summer.
