ADO Den Haag will look to end the Eredivisie's longest active winless run when they welcome Fortuna Sittard to the Cars Jeans Stadion on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the visitors are going through a rough patch of their own having lost each of their last three games, scoring just one goal in that time.
Match preview
ADO Den Haag ended a dismal run of four consecutive league defeats with a goalless draw away at fourth-placed Vitesse on April 9.
In a clash which the hosts dominated, Ruud Brood had his defenders to thank as they put in a huge shift to preserve their clean sheet and secure a point.
However, they are still rooted to the bottom of the Eredivisie table and are nine points away from safety as the season enters into its final phase.
De Ooievaars have lost each of the last three meetings against this weekend's opponents, the most recent of which was a 2-0 defeat in February's reverse fixture.
Time is running out for Sunday's hosts to salvage what is increasingly becoming an irredeemable, campaign which is likely to end with the termination of their 13-year stay in the top flight.
Fortuna Sittard suffered yet another league defeat as they were beaten 3-1 at home by a resurgent Emmen side on Saturday.
Dimitris Emmanouilidis cancelled out Sergio Pena's opener in the 85th minute, before his side went on to concede to Glenn Bijl and Paul Gladon in the final knockings of the game.
Sjors Ultee's men are well clear of the drop zone, but their chances of a top-half finish have been dealt a severe blow in recent weeks.
However, it has still been a good season for The Fortunezen considering the fact that they were on their way down during the course of the last campaign.

Team News
Roel Janssen received his marching orders last time out, and he will serve the first of a three-game suspension in this one.
The main candidates to fill in for Janssen in the heart of the visitors' defence are Dario Van den Buijs and Gregoire Amiot.
Den Haag's Dario Del Fabro is expected to miss a third consecutive game as the Italian remains out with a hamstring injury.
The hosts will also have to deal with the absence of Peet Bijen, who pulled up in his side's KNVB-Beker triumph over Sparta Rotterdam in October.
A knee injury has sidelined Daryl Janmaat for the past three months, but the veteran defender is not far off a return to action.
ADO Den Haag possible starting lineup:
Koopman; Familio-Castillo, Kemper, Zuiverloon, Van Ewijk; Pinas, Vejinovic, Pinas; Bourard, Kramer, Besuijen
Fortuna Sittard possible starting lineup:
Van Osch; Cox, Amiot, Angha, Rota; Hansson, Rienstra, Tekie, Semedo; Seuntjens, Flemming
We say: ADO Den Haag 1-2 Fortuna Sittard
Both sides have an opportunity to bounce back from disappointing results of late with a victory in this one. The away side are superior on paper, and we are backing them to show that supremacy on the pitch by claiming all three points.
