Alfreton Town have recorded their second win in the space of three days after they recorded a 3-2 win over AFC Telford United at The Impact Arena.
The home side wasted little time in taking the lead against the Conference Premier's basement side as Andi Thanoj's long-range strike took a deflection before finding the back of the net.
AFC Telford equalised soon afterwards through Tony Gray but Alfreton regained the lead when Tom Shaw arrowed a volley past the despairing dive of Jonathan Hedge.
It looked as though the visitors would keep the deficit to just the one goal, but in added-on time Alfreton netted a third through Joe Ironside, who powered through the AFC Telford defence before driving the ball past the goalkeeper.
Alfreton looked ready to extend their lead at the start of the second half, but Chris Smith and Ironside both wasted headed opportunities from no more than eight yards out.
However, with 19 minutes remaining, AFC Telford got back into the game thanks to Neil Bryne, who applied the finishing touch to Adam Farrell's corner.
That goal lifted the visitors, with Farrell wasting a decent chance inside the area, but Alfreton hung on to make it back-to-back wins as they recover from their shocking start to the campaign.
