Arsenal may have to make do without the services of Olivier Giroud for Wednesday night's Champions League qualifier against Besiktas.
The French striker came off the bench earlier today to help rescue a 2-2 draw for the Gunners from their trip to Everton.
However, in the final minute at Goodison Park, Giroud suffered an ankle injury as he attempted to block a clearance from Sylvain Distin.
When asked about the complaint, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger conceded that he was unsure as to its severity.
"It is a big game and I hope we have not lost Giroud in the last minute of the game. It doesn't look too good. In the final minute, he stretched his ankle," he told Sky Sports News.
Should Giroud miss the encounter, it is expected that either Yaya Sanogo or Joel Campbell will lead Arsenal's attack against the Turkish side, with the scores level at 0-0 from the first leg.
