Marseille snatching second place in Group F from Olympiakos thanks to two late goals while Porto crash out in Group G.

Half of the Champions League group stage has now been completed following Tuesday's ties across Europe.

After wins for Chelsea and Barcelona and defeat for Arsenal, Sports Mole reviews the rest of the evening's action.

The most dramatic ending came in Arsenal's group where Marseille scored two late goals in Dortmund to snatch not only victory but also second place in Group F.

The Gunners' conquerers Olympiakos looked set to qualify alongside the North London side only for the last-minute strikes from Andre Ayew and a stunning effort from Mathieu Valbuena.

In Chelsea's group, Bayer Leverkusen failed to capitalise on their superior position at the start of the night and deny the Blues top spot by only managing a 1-1 in Genk.

AC Milan already knew they would be finishing second behind Barcelona in Group H but, after a goalless first half, raced into a two-goal lead after the break at Viktoria Plzen thanks to two goals in two minutes from Alexandre Pato and Robinho.

However, the Czech side repeated Marseille's feat of scoring twice in the dying minutes to secure third spot in the group.

In Group G, 2004 winners Porto crashed out after Zenit St Petersburg held them to a 0-0 draw.

The Russian side advance to the knockout stage alongside APOEL Nicosia who, even though going down 1-0 at Shakhtar Donetsk, go through as surprise group winners.
