Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Oxford United

:Headline: Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Oxford United:
Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Monday's FA Cup clash with Oxford United.

Arsenal will be bidding to avoid an upset in the FA Cup when they head to third-tier outfit Oxford United in the third round of the competition on Monday night.

Mikel Arteta's side will enter the contest off the back of a goalless draw with Newcastle United in the Premier League, but they remain top of the table, five points clear of second-placed Manchester City.

The Gunners are the most successful side in the history of the FA Cup, having lifted the trophy on 14 occasions, with their last triumph in the competition coming in 2020.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Oxford United, who operate in League One.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Gabriel Jesus was forced to undergo surgery on the knee injury that he suffered at the 2022 World Cup, and the forward will remain on the sidelines for a while yet.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: January 9 (vs. Oxford)

Emile Smith Rowe was close to returning to the squad against Newcastle, as he is in the latter stages of his recovery from a groin injury, so he has a chance of being involved in this match.

Reiss Nelson

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Reiss Nelson suffered a hamstring injury in a mid-season friendly with Juventus in December, and the Englishman is expected to be on the sidelines for at least another month or so.
