Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain praises his Arsenal teammate Lukasz Fabianski for his performance during their victory over Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup.

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has hailed his teammate Lukasz Fabianski for his performance during their victory over Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

The Polish goalkeeper saved spot kicks from Gary Caldwell and Jack Collison during the penalty shootout, which the Gunners won 4-2 to progress to the final of the FA Cup.

"I've got to give Lukasz all the credit to him," Arsenal's official website quotes Oxlade-Chamberlain as saying. "For someone that has been behind the brilliant Wojciech Szczesny this year, whenever he's played for us, he's been absolutely superb.

"He's the hero for us today. Full credit to him - he's an unbelievable professional. Gerry (goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton) works really hard with the goalkeepers day in, day out. It's people behind the scenes that don't always get as much credit as they deserve.

"It's a team effort to win games and you've got to give the goalkeeping coach credit but I think you've got to give Lukasz the main credit."

The semi-final tie between the Gunners and Wigan at London's Wembley Stadium finished 1-1 after extra time.
