Liverpool are scheduled to return to action on Thursday evening when they square off against Arsenal in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final.

Despite playing against 10 men for much of the first game, Liverpool could not break their opponents down, eventually having to settle for a goalless draw.

Arsenal's selection issues means that this game is currently uncertain to go ahead, but Jurgen Klopp is also having to deal with plenty of problems in the treatment room.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their visit to the Emirates Stadium.

Liverpool remain without central defender Phillips due to the fractured cheekbone that he suffered against AC Milan in the Champions League.

While Elliott has already returned to the training pitch as he continues his recovery from a serious ankle injury, the playmaker will remain unavailable for the foreseeable future.

By the time that Thursday comes around, Origi would have been training for a week after recovering from a knee injury. The Belgian may be considered for a spot among the replacements.

Thiago Alcantara

Status: Out

Possible return date: Unknown

Experienced midfielder Thiago is currently struggling to overcome a hip problem, which will rule the Spain international out of action for the foreseeable future.

Top goalscorer Salah misses out due to his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Klopp revealed after Sunday's game with Brentford that Oxlade-Chamberlain had "rolled his ankle", leaving him as an injury doubt for this contest. The midfielder will continue to be assessed ahead of the meeting with his former club.
