Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their EFL Cup quarter-final against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal will be hoping that the EFL Cup provides some much-needed respite from their Premier League form when they face Manchester City in the quarter-finals at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta's side lost again at the weekend, going down 2-1 to Everton at Goodison Park to make it now seven Premier League games without a win and only two points from a possible 21 in that time.

The under-fire Spaniard will be hoping for a favour from another of his former clubs here, but they take on a Man City team that has dominated this competition in recent years.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed the trip to Everton with a calf injury, and Arteta revealed after the game that his captain could be sidelined for up to two weeks. The exact diagnosis is yet to be confirmed and so he may be back sooner, but he is certain to miss this match.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Thomas Partey returned ahead of schedule from his last injury, but that may have proven to be a mistake with the summer signing quickly pulling up again in the North London derby and he will once again be absent for this match.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Granit Xhaka

Return date: December 26 (vs. Chelsea)

Granit Xhaka will serve the final match of his three-game ban for his red card against Burnley, but Arsenal do have Gabriel Magalhaes back available following his suspension at the weekend.
