Arsene Wenger slams "boring" media for asking about Arsenal team selection

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger threatens to stop his pre-Manchester United press conference before describing the media as "boring".

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger described the media as "boring" after threatening to walk out of his press conference this morning.

Wenger first threatened to stop the press conference when he was asked whether Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was right in claiming he was the only Premier League manager not under pressure and then was angered when pressed on his team selection in midweek.

Goalkeeper David Ospina scored an own goal to help Olympiacos stun the Gunners in the Champions League, but Wenger was not interested in discussing whether he should have played Petr Cech instead.

"Do not come always back with that same story," Wenger told reporters ahead of Sunday's Premier League match against leaders Manchester United. "I think you lack a bit of creativity in the press at the moment and you follow a bandwagon. It's very boring.

"I don't go along with that [criticism]. If you have an interesting question I will answer but apart from that let's not always come back to the same story. Come to the game on Sunday and you will see who's in the goal."

If Arsenal beat United on Sunday they will draw level on points with the Red Devils.
