Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has insisted that the team is capable of challenging for the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners clinched their first piece of silverware of the campaign on Sunday with a comfortable 3-0 win over Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Despite Arsenal falling short during the title race last season, Flamini believes that Arsene Wenger's side can go one better this term.
"We had a good year last year, even if we collapsed in the last couple of months, but I think we are ready. We have a strong team with a lot of quality," he told Sky Sports News.
"We are part of the big teams and I think we have the quality to fight for the title definitely."
Arsenal get their Premier League campaign up and running on Saturday when they welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates Stadium.
