Arsenal have become just the third team in English football history to score 7,000 top-flight goals courtesy of their opener against Leeds United at Elland Road this afternoon.
Gabriel Martinelli latched on to a loose ball inside the Leeds area to fire the Gunners in front after just 16 minutes.
The Brazilian's strike saw Arsenal reach 7,000 goals in the top flight, with only Everton (7,139) and Liverpool (7,069) having previously reached that milestone since English league football began in 1888.
Martinelli's feat puts him alongside the likes of Paul Merson and Cesc Fabregas in Arsenal's record books after they scored the club's 5,000th and 6,000th goals respectively.
The striker soon added a second to record his first ever Premier League brace, before Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners a three-goal lead before half time. body check tags ::
