Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign playmaker Mesut Ozil.
Reports emerged yesterday evening that the Gunners have made a move to sign the German international, who is expected to have fallen down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu following the arrival of Gareth Bale.
It has been claimed that both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were keen on the 24-year-old, but Arsenal have stolen on a march on their rivals by submitting a £42m bid, which has been accepted by Los Blancos, according to numerous reports this afternoon.
The speculation has added that personal terms have also been agreed between the Premier League outfit and the player.
Ozil is expected to now undergo a medical in his native Germany, where he is preparing for international duty.
