Arsenal may struggle to keep hold of Manchester City target Bukayo Saka if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, according to a report.
The 20-year-old academy graduate has been a standout performer for the Gunners this season, scoring 11 goals and registering six assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
However, the attacker's long-term future at the Emirates Stadium has been questioned as he will see his current contract expire in the summer of 2024.
Arsenal are believed to be preparing a new contract for Saka, but should they fail to finish in the top four this season, The Sun claims that the attacker may put talks on hold while he considers his options in the summer.
The report adds that Saka is 'desperate' to play Champions League football, with Premier League leaders Man City and quadruple-chasing Liverpool allegedly keeping tabs on the attacker.
Pep Guardiola is believed to be an admirer of the England international and he could look to recruit him as a replacement for 31-year-old Riyad Mahrez.
Arsenal, who currently sit fifth in the Premier League table, will need to beat Everton at the Emirates on Sunday and hope that rivals Tottenham Hotspur lose to basement club Norwich City if they are to finish the season in the top four. body check tags ::
