Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly among a host of clubs interested in signing Atletico Mineiro defender Emerson.

Emerson only joined Atletico in April of last year, but his performances for the Brazilian outfit are understood to have attracted interest from clubs around the world.

Mundo Deportivo reports that some of Europe's biggest clubs are among those keeping track of the 20-year-old.

Barcelona, Juventus and Inter Milan have all been credited with an interest alongside Liverpool and Arsenal, who are understood to have been joined in the race for his signature by fellow Premier League outfit Watford.

The likes of Borussia Dortmund, Porto and Valencia were also named as potential suitors for the full-back.

Emerson, who is a Brazilian Under-20 international, is currently contracted to Atletico Mineiro until 2022.
