Arsenal may look to move for Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir after conceding defeat in their pursuit of Emiliano Buendia, according to a report.
The Gunners are looking to bolster their options in the number 10 role this summer, but Aston Villa moved quickly to secure Buendia's signature after weeks of speculation surrounding a move to the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta's side are still thought to want Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on a permanent deal, although the Norway captain may ultimately prove to be too expensive, but they have supposedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Fekir.
According to Goal, Arsenal could reignite their interest in the Frenchman as an alternative to Odegaard, and the playmaker would be open to a move to North London.
The report adds that Fekir wants to test himself in the Premier League after a proposed move to Liverpool in 2019 broke down, and the 27-year-old only has two years left to run on his Betis deal.
Fekir registered five goals and six assists in 33 La Liga games last season, but he was not selected for France's Euro 2020 squad by Didier Deschamps. body check tags ::
