Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard is confident that Luis Suarez will not join Arsenal this summer.
The Uruguay international has been exiled by manager Brendan Rodgers, forced to train alone until he apologises for publicly stating his desire to leave Anfield this summer.
The Gunners, who have been knocked back twice by owner John Henry, are reportedly readying a third and final bid of £50m to test the Reds' resolve on the matter - but Gerrard believes Arsene Wenger is wasting his time.
"If I can use my influence to try to make him stay I will try to do that, for Liverpool to move forward it's important we keep our best players," he told reporters.
"I'm really confident he won't be going to any one else in England."
The North London outfit have some 20 days to thrash out a deal with their Merseyside counterparts for the 26-year-old, with the transfer window closing on September 2.
