Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil is "90% certain" to make the switch to Turkish giants Fenerbahce in January, according to one of the club's chiefs.
The 32-year-old has been frozen out under Mikel Arteta and has not played a single minute of competitive football this season, inevitably resulting in him being linked with an exit in January.
The ex-Germany international is under contract at Arsenal until next summer and has vowed to see out the remainder of his deal, but Fenerbahce congress member Murat Zorlu is confident that Ozil will be playing in the Super Lig come January.
Speaking to Sports Digitale, Zorlu said: "A source, who's very well connected to the club, has told me that Mesut Ozil is likely to become a Fenerbahce player during the next transfer window. I would say 90% he will join us in one month."
Several Arsenal fans have been calling for Ozil's return recently amid the Gunners' creative problems, although Arteta's men are still linked with the likes of Houssem Aouar, Dominik Szoboszlai and Emi Buendia ahead of the January window.
Ozil has scored 44 goals and set up 77 more for Arsenal since arriving from Real Madrid in 2013.
