Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has insisted that his side will not be panicking as they bid to get out of the Premier League relegation zone.
The Midlands outfit, who recently appointed the Frenchman, are currently bottom of the table, four points behind Sunderland and Bournemouth and five adrift of Newcastle United, who sit 17th.
Garde has urged the Villa fans to give the team their full backing as they fight for survival.
"Panic would be the worst attitude we could have. I think the players are very committed to what we have to do," the former Lyon boss told the Express & Star.
"The players need to feel that the fans still believe that we can still do it. Probably elsewhere in the country nobody still believes in that but at Villa Park we need to still believe that it is still possible."
Villa take on Watford this Saturday.
