Eros Pisano scored in the seventh minute of stoppage time as 10-man Hellas Verona held Atalanta BC to a 1-1 draw in their Serie A clash this afternoon.
German Denis had the first chance of the match for the hosts with a powerful header that he could only direct inches over the bar.
Pisano threatened down the other end of the pitch as he rose to meet a free kick, but could not keep his header down.
In the second half Maximiliano Moralez almost gave Atalanta the lead when his fierce drive had to be saved by Pierluigi Gollini.
Moments later the visitors had a chance of their own as Giampaolo Pazzini saw his close-range attempt kept out by Marco Sportiello.
Verona were then dealt a blow after Bosko Jankovic picked up his second booking of the match and was sent off.
With the game heading towards a goalless draw, Moralez gave Atalanta the lead in the 89th minute when he headed in from Alejandro Gomez's cross.
However, Verona rescued a point in the final minute of stoppage time, as Pisano rose at the back post to meet Federico Viviani's free kick, before guiding a header in off the post.
