Torino kept alive their hopes of qualifying for next season's Europa League by earning a 2-1 win over Atalanta BC this afternoon.
The visitors took the lead in the 20th minute through Fabio Quagliarella, who fired a swerving free kick beyond the reach of Marco Sportiello and into the roof of the net.
Kamil Glik doubled their lead before the break when a corner dropped kindly to him at the back post, and he crashed a strike into the back of the net.
Within a minute, Giulio Migliaccio almost pulled a goal back for the hosts, but his header was saved by Daniele Padelli.
Atalanta did manage to get on the scoresheet in the 74th minute when Mauricio Pinilla met Maximiliano Moralez's free kick and sent an overhead kick into the top corner.
With three minutes remaining, the hosts almost levelled the scores as Rolando Bianchi fired his strike narrowly wide of the post.
Pinilla and Migjen Basha were then sent off for clashing in stoppage time, but it made no difference to the final score as Torino held on to move to within four points of Fiorentina in the Serie A table.
