Atlanta vs. Cincinnati (Sunday, 12.30am)

Atlanta United will host FC Cincinnati this Saturday, and both teams are looking to break into the top four of the MLS Eastern Conference.

There is just one point between these teams at the moment, and there is little to split them after the opening section of the season.

We say: Atlanta United 1-1 FC Cincinnati

There is very little to split these two teams in the league table, and that is something that could end up being reflected in the match this weekend.

Cincinnati has struggled in recent weeks, and that is something that they need to turn around as soon as possible, but Atlanta's strengths could lead to them sharing the spoils.

Columbus Crew vs. Portland (Sunday, 12.30am)

Seeking to snap their run of five consecutive games without a win, Portland Timbers journey to the Lower.com Field to face Columbus Crew on Saturday.

The Crew's last victory against Portland came back in March 2017, when Niko Hansen netted a late winner in a pulsating five-game thriller in front of their home supporters.

We say: Columbus Crew 2-1 Portland Timbers

The last five meetings between Columbus Crew and Portland Timbers have produced a combined 21 goals and we anticipate another action-packed contest this weekend. The Crew head into the weekend as the more in-form side and we fancy them to end their winless run in this fixture.

Inter Miami vs. Nashville (Sunday, 12.30am)

Inter Miami will be looking to pick up successive MLS wins for the first time since September when they play host to Nashville SC at the Chase Stadium on Saturday.

Having failed to win the last five meetings between the sides since May 2023, the Boys in Gold will head into the game looking to get one over the hosts and get their season up and running.

We say: Inter Miami 3-1 Nashville SC

Inter Miami showed resilience and class last weekend when they edged out Sporting Kansas and will head into the weekend with renewed confidence. We predict Martino's men will pick up where they left off last time out and see off the floundering visitors.

Montreal vs. Orlando City (Sunday, 12.30am)

Matchday 10 of the 2024 MLS campaign kicks off on Saturday, when CF Montreal take on Orlando City at Saputo Stadium.

Last weekend, in their opening 2024 home fixture, Le CFM came away with an impressive 2-1 win over FC Cincinnati, while the Lions came from behind to pull off a dramatic 3-2 triumph against DC United.

We say: CF Montreal 1-1 Orlando City

Both sides have experienced their share of hardships to this stage of the season, though they have each been relatively resilient at the same time.

That resilience has us leaning towards a draw for these two teams, who are usually fairly resolute at the back despite what many of their results this year may indicate.

NY City vs. DC United (Sunday, 12.30am)

In their third game on their current five-game homestand, New York City FC return to Citi Field on Saturday for an MLS encounter with DC United.

A pair of second-half strikes last Saturday lifted the Boys in Blue to a 2-0 triumph over the New England Revolution, while the Black and Red conceded a pair of late goals to Orlando City, losing 3-2.

We say: New York City FC 2-1 DC United

New York should have a lot more confidence following their performance last weekend, and we believe their overall individual quality will be able to outlast a DC side, who have looked better than their recent results suggest, but without Klich, may have difficulty unlocking the opposing backline.

Toronto vs. New England (Sunday, 12.30am)

For the second time this year, Toronto and the New England Revolution will clash in the MLS regular season, this time at BMO Field on Saturday.

TFC are still holding onto the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference despite suffering a 3-2 defeat to Charlotte FC last weekend, while the Revs remain bottom of the conference following a 2-0 loss at New York City FC.

We say: Toronto 2-2 New England Revolution

Neither side have been particularly strong defensively of late, so we expect to see plenty of opportunities for each, though we do not believe either will do enough to earn the three points.

Chicago Fire vs. Salt Lake (Sunday, 1.30am)

The MLS returns with a fresh set of fixtures as Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake go head-to-head at the Soldier Field Stadium on Sunday morning.

While the visitors head into the weekend looking to snap their two-game winless run, the Men in Red set out in search of a third consecutive home win for the first time since July 2023.

We say: Chicago Fire 1-1 Real Salt Lake

Real Salt Lake have put together a fine run of form and will be looking to extend their four-game undefeated run this weekend. However, Chicago Fire have been solid at home so far and we predict they will hold out for a share of the spoils.

Houston vs. Austin (Sunday, 1.30am)

Houston Dynamo will be looking to make it three home wins on the bounce when they go head to head with Austin FC on Saturday.

The Verde and Black have failed to win their last 10 MLS away matches since beating Minnesota United 4-1 in July 2023 and will journey to the Shell Energy Stadium looking to end this poor run.

We say: Houston Dynamo 2-1 Austin FC

Buoyed by their impressive display against Minnesota, Huston Dynamo will head into the weekend with sky-high confidence. Olsen's men have enjoyed a solid start to the season and we see them seeing off an Austin side who have struggled for results on their travels.

Kansas vs. St Louis City (Sunday, 1.30am)

With just one point separating them after the first eight games, Sporting Kansas City and St Louis City go head-to-head at the Children's Mercy Park on Sunday.

The home side were on the receiving end of a narrow defeat last time out, while their visitors showed great resolve to hold on for a hard-fought win.

We say: Sporting Kansas City 2-1 St Louis City

There is little to pick between the sides, and Sunday's clash could easily swing either way. That said, we just about fancy the home side to edge out their visitors and come out on top in the end.

Colorado vs. Dallas (Sunday, 2.30am)

Aiming to pick up back to back wins for the first time this season, Colorado Rapids welcome Dallas to Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the away side make the trip this weekend aiming to pick up what would be a first win in seven matches dating back to late February.

We say: Colorado Rapids 2-0 Dallas

Colorado have been scoring for fun of late and will fancy their chances against a Dallas side who have struggled for goals recently. We are backing the hosts to emerge triumphant at the end of the 90 minutes in this one.

Los Angeles vs. NY Red Bulls (Sunday, 3.30am)

Round nine of the 2024 Major League Soccer League season sees Los Angeles FC and New York Red Bulls face off at the BMO Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams had to make do with a share of the spoils last time out and will be looking to go one step better in this weekend's encounter.

We say: Los Angeles FC 2-1 New York Red Bulls

Goals have been a constant feature of this fixture and we expect that trend to continue here. We are also expecting Los Angeles to carry the day, albeit by only a narrow margin.

Seattle vs. Vancouver (Sunday, 3.30am)

Another Cascadia Cup clash takes centre stage this weekend at Lumen Field as the Seattle Sounders aim to stretch their MLS unbeaten run to three matches when they host the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday.

Seattle are coming off a 0-0 draw versus Dallas the last time out, while the Caps missed a chance to move into first place in the Western Conference, losing 3-1 at home to the Los Angeles Galaxy.

We say: Seattle Sounders 1-0 Vancouver Whitecaps

The Sounders seem to have found a way to clean up the defensive issues we saw earlier this season, and despite the Caps possessing plenty of attacking quality, we believe they are still missing a midfield general who can unlock opposing backlines with some sharp passing and vision.
