Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has revealed that he has decided his international future.
The 25-year-old, who has netted 10 times in La Liga this season, has been the subject of a tug-of-war between Brazil and Spain for his representation.
The forward has twice represented Brazil – the country of his birth – in friendlies, but it is believed that he has chosen to represent Spain after gaining citizenship.
"The decision on the national team has been made. Now is not the time to make it public," Costa told Canal+.
"I have already spoken to who I have had to speak to and hopefully this will be resolved soon. If I could say which, I would have done so long ago."
Costa scored twice as Atletico beat Austria Vienna 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday.
