Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has paid tribute to Sevilla for overcoming Manchester United in the Champions League.
Sevilla shocked Old Trafford on Tuesday night as they recorded a 2-1 win against the Red Devils to advance into the quarter-finals of the European Cup.
Simeone, who saw his team fail to reach the knockout rounds of this season's Champions League, has said that Sevilla 'made it look like a straightforward achievement' due to their "motivation, discipline and enthusiasm".
"It is concerning that the general consensus is that this was anything other than a magnificent achievement with a great deal of weight and importance," Marca quotes Simeone as saying.
"Sevilla played with huge levels of motivation, discipline and enthusiasm and their approach put them in good stead and made this look like a straightforward achievement."
Atletico will face Lokomotiv Moscow on Thursday night in the second leg of their last-16 Europa League tie.
