Atletico Madrid midfielder Gabi praised his side's "togetherness" after coming from a goal down to beat Porto 2-1 on Tuesday night.
Jackson Martinez put the home side in front, before Diego Godin equalised and Arda Turan grabbed a late winner, and Gabi said that Atleti are a resilient outfit with tremendous work-rate.
"The team showed togetherness tonight. When the not so good moments arrive this
season we know that the team and our fans are united," he told UEFA.com.
"We never looked to settle for a draw here - we knew we had a chance to win. The team never gave up and put in a huge work rate.
"I think that the games against [Real Madrid and Porto] were two vital encounters for us and our team has responded to the expectations [with two wins]."
The result leaves Diego Simeone's side top of Group G.
