Atletico Madrid have moved a step closer to winning their group courtesy of a 1-0 win over Hapoel Tel Aviv this evening.
The hosts took the lead after just seven minutes when Emre Belozoglu found Raul Garcia in the box, allowing the midfielder to fire a shot into the top corner.
The visitors almost equalised in the 13th minute as Roei Gordana got on the end of Gil Vermouth's corner, but he couldn't direct his header on target.
Madrid came close to doubling their lead in the 18th minute when Adrian's close-range effort was well saved by Apoula Edima Bete Edel.
Raul Garcia almost got his second of the game just after the hour mark when he headed Adrian's cross towards goal, but the keeper was equal to it.
Tel Aviv looked like a side with nothing to play for in the closing stages as Madrid comfortably saw the game out.
