Atletico Madrid are reportedly in advanced talks with Flamengo starlet Reinier.
The 17-year-old has broken into the Brazilian club's first team this season, scoring three goals and creating a further two in the nine games since he made his debut in July.
The player is highly rated by many, both in Brazil and further afield, with AS reporting that Diego Simeone's side are in advanced talks with him over a potential move.
The report indicates that Atletico sent an intermediary to Rio de Janeiro to negotiate with the player last week, although they are yet to open formal discussions with Flamengo.
Reinier is believed to have a release clause of €62m (£53.5m) in his current contract, with Atletico hopeful of getting him for less.
Flamengo rejected a €30m (£25.9m) bid for the teenager in the summer from an unnamed Premier League team, while Real Madrid are thought to be keeping tabs on his development.
