Coach Diego Simeone has paid tribute to the improving Jackson Martinez after he scored for the second game in succession in Atletico Madrid's 2-1 win over Valencia on Sunday.
The Colombian striker, a £25m signing from Porto in the summer, took his total to three goals for the Rojiblancos following a troubled start to life at the Vicente Calderon.
Martinez also netted in the 4-0 Champions League win over Astana last week, and Simeone is delighted with how his hitman is coming along.
"Jackson is growing too. He had his goal and another chance. This is his second straight game with a goal. I am glad," the Argentine told reporters.
Simeone's side sit third in the Primera Division.
