Augsburg have secured their Bundesliga status with a 3-1 victory over Greuther Furth at home, finishing just a place and two points above the relegation zone.
The hosts could have conceded as early as the fifth minute when Ragnar Klavan brought down Felix Klaus inside his own penalty area.
Edgar Prib stepped up to take the spot kick but saw it saved by Alexander Manninger between the Augsburg posts.
Then on the half-hour mark Augsburg took the lead, Tobias Werner scoring with a direct free kick.
The home side doubled their advantage 10 minutes into the second half when Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker headed home Werner's corner from close range.
However, Furth halved the deficit on 62 minutes when Florian Trinks shot home from the right side of the box.
That did not unsettle Augsburg, though, as they scored their third and final goal of the afternoon through Ji Dong-Won, who turned in Matthias Ostrzolek's pass.
